Wetland Construction
We construct wetland habitats from small scale balancing ponds, to large lake construction as well as restoring Wetland habitat. Wetland restoration is an essential tool in the campaign to protect, improve, and increase wetlands. Wetlands that have been filled and drained retain their characteristic soil and hydrology, allowing their natural functions to be reclaimed.
Restoration can be a complex process that requires planning, implementation, monitoring, and management. We can restore and manage wetland habitat such as reed beds, river corridors and canals and river bank revetments using green bioengineering techniques, this reduces the power of the water, trapping silt and vegetation to stop/reduce bank erosion.
Restoration can involve renewing natural wetlands which have been lost or degraded and reclaiming their functions. Restoring our lost and degraded wetlands to their natural state is essential to ensure the health of our watershed.
"We supply and install coir fibre roll. This is an excellent technique to establish instant, marginal vegetation around lake edges, canals, streams and river banks. Coir rolls are cost-effective, organic revetments that are suitable alternatives to hard solutions in many applications"
